VIDEO

From time to time I might share a video or two with you all.  It might be something I create back in my television days or something I find interesting.  Either way I hope you enjoy what you see or learn from it.
Mid 1980's I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to produce a wonderful series called the Solar Project.  Musicians were chosen and given the chance to record three of their songs professionally at a local recording studio.  Terry Maclean, from Cape Breton, did not have instruments to back himself up but he did not need any.
My years at the cable station offered me many opportunities to get involved in interesting projects. This one was one of my favorites. I was with the wolves. No fence between me and them. The one wolf that was caged up I got into its cage and it wandered over for a sniff. Very cool.
In my very early days of my Halifax Cable days I was lucky enough to work with John Dunsworth of Trailer Park Boys fame.  He had written a piece called the Toy Boat.  A look at the classes.  Rich vs poor.  I was the cameraman and editor and John was kind enough to make me a co-producer.

Here I am in a previous life.  In the 1980's I hosted, along with puppeteer Jamie Bradley, a Cable Ad show called Quizzical Pursuit.  We profiled the new and upcoming Cable channels.  From that came the Adventures of Monty and Ashburn.  Those were good days.  This clip sees Monty visiting Ashburn at his apartment.  The apartment was actually mine and Jamies.  We were flat mates for about a year.

It was great pleasure to shoot and edit this music video of Laura Smith's.  It is from her album Between the Earth and my Soul.  The song is called Whirlaround.  We shot in Chester Nova Scotia.  It was produced and directed by the brilliant Doug Barron.  I treasure these types of projects that gave us all creative outlets.
Tooth & Claw was a dream of mine and my producing partner/puppet master Terry Angus.  We love these guys and wish that some day they could be more than just something on a You Tube page.
Join Sly, Rosie, Bristle and Woody along with their friends, as they celebrate the joy of the season.  Thanks to all who were a part of the making of this very special project.
